The ties that bind us together are a passion for the shooting sports and a belief that the Dallas Gun Club is a special place. We have a shared legacy, dating back to the club’s inception in 1946, of time spent with family and friends engaged in the activities we love. Today our club is stronger than ever, with 600 acres of beautifully manicured shooting grounds, a vibrant membership, a newly refurbished clubhouse, more shotgun disciplines than virtually any club in the country, and plans for even further expansion. We are truly one of the premier shooting destinations in the world.

Gun Safety

An Absolute Requirement

With privilege comes responsibility. At the Dallas Gun Club, no obligation is more important than gun safety. We are unequivocally committed to it at all times and in all places. The well-being of our staff, members, guests, and neighbors is at stake and we will not compromise on strict adherence to all safe gun handling rules and practices. While we maintain a warm and welcoming environment, we take a zero-tolerance approach to significant safety violations. You'll receive your first safety briefing with the interview that follows the submission of your membership application. You will be required to watch a safety video before utilizing the rifle and pistol range. Safety rules are posted on shooting fields and ranges. More detailed firearm safety rules are found in our “Rules, Policies & Operating Guidelines” (beginning on page 3) and in our “Rifle and Pistol Range Rules”.  You can also review the NRA Gun Safety Rules by clicking here

Every member of the club is effectively a Range Safety Officer who must be prepared either to personally enforce safety procedures or immediately report infractions to management. If anyone is unsure about what constitutes a safe practice or compliance with our DGC rules, they need only ask another member of the staff. They will receive immediate help and support to ensure that their experience at the club is not only rewarding and fun but also safe.
